Carolina Power Partners provides reliable electricity to local towns, cities and universities in North and South Carolina. Much of that power is provided by the Kings Mountain Energy Center, a 475 MW combined-cycle power plant capable of efficiently providing clean energy to approximately 400,000 homes.

Strategically located in the fast growing southeastern region of the United States, CPP is positioned to provide energy to local communities to help them achieve their economic and environmental needs.

The Heat Recovery Steam Generator or HRSG captures waste heat from the Combustion Turbine enabling it to produce significantly more energy from the same amount of fuel resulting in cleaner, more economical power. The plant also deploys state-of-the-art emissions-control technology making it one of the cleanest natural-gas fueled facilities in the United States.
